Richie’s family and friends have teamed up to form this Foundation, whose primary mission is to promote a safe environment for players, coaches and spectators participating in youth sports. The Foundation also occasionally provide monetary stipends to college bound athletes from Long Island, NY, who exemplify sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication to youth sports, in honor of the late Richard Becher
On a personal level, Joe is a “proud” United States Navy Veteran of both Operation Desert Shield and Storm. He served aboard the Aircraft Carriers USS Constellation, USS Independence, USS Carl Vinson and UCC Midway during his five years in the Navy. His service to his Country is something he holds near and dear to his heart. He currently resides in Holbrook with his wife Michelle and their 2 children.
