MATTHEW TOR & HEARTS FOR A CAUSE

Matthew is 11 and a player with the Pat – Med Raiders baseball organization. Last year, for Mother’s Day Matthew took an old baseball and turned it into a heart shaped ornament to celebrate his love for Mom and baseball. Mom, of course loved it and put a picture of it on Facebook and Pinterest. Those postings turned into requests for additional ornaments handcrafted by Matthew. Cycle forward to the Fall of 2016 and The Pat-Med Raiders were registered to be BUDDYs for the League of YES. Unfortunately their volunteer day got rained out but Matthew still wanted to contribute to the League of YES in some way. And boy did he …..

On Saturday, June 10th, 2017, Matthew presented Executive Director Kristine Fitzpatrick a check for $500. Every dollar was from the sale of Matthew’s beautiful, handcrafted baseball heart ornaments. Matthew took a gameday rainout and made it a positive way to contribute to the players in the League of YES.
