Thank you for your generous donation to League of Yes in support of our 2017 Santacon 5K Run, Walk & Roll fundraising event. Contributions support our league giving players with disabilities the opportunity to participate in our adaptive baseball program. The benefits of this baseball program are countless. They include physical exercise, increased independence and self-esteem, an outlet for socialization, and an opportunity for families to support each other.

League of Yes created a BUDDY (Because Unbelievable Dedication Deserves You) program to help our players throughout the game so parents and family members can enjoy being spectators. Our BUDDYs come from various backgrounds and organizations. Groups from local colleges, including St. John’s University and Stony Brook University, volunteer year after year. The league has hosted over 2,000 volunteers. These volunteers stay with their assigned player helping them take their turn at bat and play in the outfield. The fun and excitement happening on the field is truly contagious!

For our more capable players, League of Yes has a Skills League partnered with local baseball, Hanks Yanks. This program goes a step further to train players on the sport of baseball. Players gain valuable playing skills while having fun with our volunteers. These programs are successful and run because of your generosity. The league has successfully increased its number of players and volunteers with each growing year. Please accept our sincerest gratitude for your support.

Warmest Regards,
Kristine Fitzpatrick, Executive Director
